Calvin C Williams Calvin C. Williams, Sr., Ph.D., is the President, CEO, Chief Instructor, and Founder of Professional Safety Training Services (PSTS), Inc., a minority-owned, International Environmental, Construction, and Health & Safety Training Firm, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Dr. Williams founded the firm in 1988, while employed as a Regional Health and Safety Director for a large Chemical Waste Management & Environmental firm. Prior to being promoted to Regional Health & Safety Director, he served as a Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and was promoted to Regional Health & Safety Director for the firm. Prior to working for the Waste Management firm, he worked as a Ship Fitter in several Shipyards, a Nuclear Quality Control Inspector and Contract Negotiator for a Nuclear Submarine Construction company, Sr. Quality Control/Quality Control Manager for Nuclear Plants and Utility Firms, and Quality Control/Loss Prevention and Safety Director for a large Construction company in Southern New Jersey. He worked for the Chemical Waste Management firm from September, 1986 to July, 1992.

From February, 1988 through June, 1992, he worked his Safety Training business on a part-time basis. In July, 1992, he left his employer to work at his business on a full-time basis. In 1986, prior to founding PSTS, Inc., he also founded Universal Speakers Bureau (USB). He is the Owner & Executive Director of USB. He teaches individuals how to be confident speakers and more persuasive presenters. Professional Safety Consulting Services (PSCS) is a subsidiary of PSTS, Inc. Safety Audits, Inspections, Quality Control, Expert Witness, and other Safety-Related Services, are provided to Environmental, Construction, Industrial and Commercial Firms by PSCS.

From July, 1992, through September, 1993, Williams operated his safety training business out of his home. In October, 1993, he moved into a large business complex on Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where he established his first large Safety Training and Educational Training Center. On July 1, 1999, he moved into a new, and much larger professional building at his present location on Browning Lane in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He named his new training facility: CAL-TECH LEARNING CENTER (CTLC). There are many other types of personal, professional, and educational development courses that are taught by Williams at CTLC. Through USB, he teaches Speaker Development and Confidence Building Courses, during weekday evenings.

In 1998, Dr. Williams founded the Environmental & Construction Employment Resource Services (ECERS) firm, designed to provide employers with employees, and employees with employment. In June 2001, he founded Employment Assistance Training Services (EATS), Inc., a non-profit organization, which is designed to assist and teach less-fortunate people that are homeless, unemployed, underemployed and on welfare, the necessary construction skills that will help them to rebuild and refurbish dilapidated buildings within their own blighted communities.

Most PSTS, Inc., USB, and EATS, Inc. courses are taught at the Cal-Tech Learning Center of which he founded in 1999. Courses are also taught at clients’ facilities throughout the USA, U.S. Territorial Islands, and Canada. Dr. Williams, (also referred to as “Mr. Motivator”), is a nationally recognized Public Speaker and Lecturer that has been featured in numerous newspapers and magazine articles. He has also appeared on many radio and television talk shows. He marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement and has been cited by many distinguished dignitaries, including the late President Lyndon B. Johnson for his outstanding community involvement. His unique motivational style Lectures are sought out by many professional organizations and industrial firms throughout the USA, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada.

Dr. Williams has traveled throughout the USA, U.S. Territorial Islands and Canada, conducting Health & Safety Training, Safety-Related Services, and presenting Lectures at numerous Environmental, Construction, Commercial, and Industrial firms, in addition to Universities, and Federal Agencies, e.g., the U.S. Postal Services and State and Federal Correctional Institutions..

His training firm and his training expertise were selected by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons and contracted in 1996 through the Burlington County Institute of Technology, to teach a 90 Hour Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Course on both the East and West Compounds of the Federal Correctional Institute in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Calvin C. Williams - Educator & Entrepreneur Dr. Williams has extensive Management experience and involvement in Health and Safety Inspection, Auditing, and Training. His safety-related, engineering and project management experience covers a period of over 40 years, from shipbuilding in 1957, up through nuclear-powered submarine construction, nuclear power plants, commercial building construction, and hazardous chemical waste removal. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Journalism, and most recently earned a Doctorate Degree in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science. He is an Author and Publisher. He recently wrote and published two books:

Instant Inspiration and How to Become a Confident Speaker.”

The name of his publishing company is: Confidence Builder Publications.

Over a period of 40 years, he has attended and completed many safety-related courses and received numerous Environmental, Construction, Health, and Safety Training Certificates, Appreciation and Commendation Letters, and many Safety Management Awards. He has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles, and appeared on numerous radio and television talk shows as a guest and co-host.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later, he spent 25 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant in 1996.
